So, what is it?

Calcite forms as chemical sedimentary deposits as limestone, can be regionally or contact metamorphosed into marbles and rarely forms igneous rocks (carbonatites). It is typically colorless or white, however due to impurities it can occur in shades of red, yellow, green blue, violet, brown, and black.  Here, we see it as an intense orange.

Blue Apatite is a group of phosphate minerals, usually referring to hydroxyapatite, fluorapatite, and chlorapatite.  Apatite can be transparent to translucent, and is typically green, but can also be colorless, yellow, blue to violet, pink, or brown. Here we see it as a vibrate blue.
